The Modern Lolitas
Last Saturday I went to the Victoria & Albert Museum in London in order to attend the British Design Exhibition which is pretty neat by the way. At the end of the exhibition while I was walking through the exit of the V&A I’ve been lucky enough to notice a bizarre meeting of young women dressed up like dolls.
It was raining but having my camera with me I thought I couldn’t miss this opportunity to get some original shots. They were like 40 girls dressed like dolls or modern geishas, I couldn’t tell really what they are. So that’s why I’m calling them modern geishas. They were friendly and happy despite the pouring weather.
Check a selection of my photos below…
UPDATE: someone in the comments notified me that they are actually called Lolitas; this is a fashion trend coming from Japan.
